A recent perspective statement by Ronald Brisman, M.D. in World Neurosurgery indicates that the neurosurgical treatment for trigeminal neuralgia associated with multiple sclerosis should be Gamma Knife radiosurgery or needle rhizotomy (Radiofrequency and/or glycerol) and not microvascular decompression.

In a recently published article, Ronald Brisman, M.D. shows that patients with typical trigeminal neuralgia frequently believe that they have constant face pain.

A recent perspective statement by Ronald Brisman, M.D. in World Neurosurgery indicates that an initial Gamma Knife radiosurgery does not impair the results of a subsequent microvascular decompression.
